SAXAPAHAW CAMPGROUND

Rules and Regulations

 

QUIET TIME: Noise levels that propagate outside of your immediate camp area can disturb others. “Quite Time” is between 10:00PM and 10:00AM and noise levels must not disturb others.

VISITORS: All visitors must be approved by campground management before arrival. Visitors must check in with management and pay a $10 “day pass” fee. Visitors must park in the upper campground parking area and must leave no later than 10:00PM.

PARKING: Campers are allowed to park their vehicles near a campsite but there is to be no movement of vehicles between dusk and dawn from the camp area except in case of emergency. Campers that wish to come/go after sunset must park in the upper parking area.

CLEANLINESS: Campers are to keep their camp area and any common area they use clean. All trash is to be put in metal trash cans and the lid secured tightly. Grease and food products are to be disposed of in the metal trash cans, not dumped on the ground please. Upon departure, your campsite should be as clean as when you arrived. Excessive messy/dirty spots/cabins/pods will be charged a clean-up fee.

SMOKING: Smoking or vaping is not allowed in the cabins, restrooms, tree/tandem pods or common areas. Smoking/vaping is allowed in your camp area but you must be respectful of other campers and not allow smoke to disrupt others. All cigarette butts are to be put out carefully and thrown in the metal trash cans, not left on the ground or in fire pits.

ALCOHOL / CONTROLLED SUBSTANCES: Campers are allowed to bring their own alcohol or purchase beer from the canteen. You are expected to drink responsibly and be mindful of noise/language other campers. Please do not drink and drive. Unlawful drugs are prohibited.

FIRES: All camp fires must be in the provided fire rings. Please do not move fire rings. Fires are never to be built directly on the ground. Contact campground staff to purchase fire wood. Trash is never to be burned in a campfire. Accelerate such as gasoline or diesel is never to be used.

FIREARMS/FIREWORKS: Firearms/Fireworks of any kind are prohibited anywhere on the campground. This includes sparklers and poppers.

RECREATIONAL VEHICLES: ATV's or other recreational vehicles are not allowed on the campground.

PETS: Campers are not allowed to bring pets.


IF YOU CHOOSE NOT TO FOLLOW THE RULES AND REGULATIONS OF SAXAPAHAW CAMPGROUND YOU WILL BE ASKED TO IMMEDIATELY LEAVE. THERE WILL BE NO APPEAL OR DISCUSSION AND YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE ANY REFUND FOR UNUSED TIME OR SERVICES.

         SAXAPAHAW CAMPGROUND RESERVES THE RIGHT TO TO REFUSE SERVICES TO ANYONE

WAIVER AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY

In consideration of Saxapahaw Campground furnishing services and/or camping facilities and/

or equipment to enable me to participate in camping or other recreational activities I agree as follows:

I fully accept that there are risks, hazards and dangers associated with the services and activities

provided by Saxapahaw Campground. These risks include the uncertainties of the camping area,

uncertainties of the river, and uncertainties of the weather. I understand that Saxapahaw Campground strongly advises me to not enter the water of the river and to remain away from the exposed rocks and/or debris around the river edge or islands within the river area. I accept there are hazards in the camping area and river which could include bugs, bees, wasp, ticks, chiggers, flees, ants, and various other stinging or biting insects. I understand some of these may cause lasting effects such as Lyme disease or other lasting ailments which could lead into allergic reactions and/or could cause death. I understand there may be wild animals, birds, poisonous snakes and other hazardous plant life such as Poison Ivy and Poison Oak and various plants with thorns or other stinging or sticking abilities. I understand the property and river may contain slippery conditions, deep holes in the river bed, sharp and jagged rocks, snapping turtles, and

poisonous snakes as well as numerous other possible hazards. I also understand and accept there could be tree limbs, branches, and/or tree trunks falling without notice which could cause damage or even death to my person and/or damage to my personal property. I also understand the river and camping area is subject to flooding and I accept responsibility to evacuate the campground in adverse weather or flooding conditions. I understand that the description above of these risks is not complete and that other unknown or unanticipated risks may result in injury or even death.

I AM VOLUNTARILY PARTICIPATING IN THESE ACTIVITIES AND AM USING THE SERVICES

OF SAXAPAHAW CAMPGROUND WITH KNOWLEDGE AND ACCEPTANCE OF THE RISKS

INVOLVED AND I ACCEPTAND ASSUME ALL RISK AND RESPONSIBILITY AND LIABILITY

ASSOCIATED WITH ACTIVITIES AND SERVICES WHETHER OR NOT DESCRIBED ABOVE,

KNOWN OR UNKNOWN, FORESEEABLE OR UNFORESEEN. I ASSUME ALL RESPONSIBILITY

FOR MY PERSONAL BELONGINGS AND WILL NOT HOLD SAXAPAHAW CAMPGROUND

LIABLE FOR LOSS, DAMAGE, OR THEFT. I UNDERSTAND THAT RISKS WHILE AT

SAXAPAHAW CAMPGROUND MAY INCLUDE LOSS OF PROPERTY OR INJURY TO PERSON

OR EVEN DEATH.


I agree for myself and for all minors for whom am parent or guardian or have under my watch, for my heirs, successors and assigns, that I release Saxapahaw Campground, it’s owners, agents and employees from any and all claims, damages, and injuries, including all injuries to person or to property, arising directly or indirectly out of the activities or services provided by Saxapahaw Campground. This release and the following indemnification includes any claims arising, in whole or in part from negligent acts or omissions of Saxapahaw Campground, its owners, agents or employees.

I HAVE CAREFULLY READ, CLEARLY UNDERSTAND AND VOLUNTARILY SIGN THIS PARTICIPATION, RELEASE AND INDEMNIFICATION AGREEMENT. I INTEND BY SIGNING THIS AGREEMENT TO INDUCE SAXAPAHAW CAMPGROUND TO PROVIDE SERVICES AND ACTIVITIES.
